WWII FLYING B-17 FORTRESS "THE YANKEE LADY"

A .50-calibur machinegun sits in the narrow tunneled fuselage of a Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress. Retired Maj. Gen. Richard Bodycombe, a former commander of the Air Force Reserve, and a crew flew the World War II aircraft from Detroit to Andrews Air Force Base, Md., Oct. 12, 2006.
